ABOUT ICSA
With over a century's experience, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) is the recognised global voice on governance and regulatory issues in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Working with governmental and other statutory bodies, ICSA promotes best practice and provides guidance on good governance.
LBT College is a provider of tuition for the ICSA Certificate and Diploma qualifications. Both programmes are a route to a university degree, professional or other ICSA qualifications
WHO IS IT FOR
As the qualifying body for company secretaries and senior administrators, ICSA offers a professional qualification covering business, company law, corporate governance, management, finance/accounting, administration and company secretarial practice. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Ø Over 17 years of age
Ø No previous experience or formal qualifications are needed.
Ø Applicants must demonstrate sufficient competence in English.
EXAMINATIONS
Examinations are held twice a year, in June and November.
MODE OF ASSESSMENT
ü Unseen written exams with a combination of short answers to questions and a case study.
ü A case study scenario will be circulated to the students before the examination.

ICSA Diploma in Business Practice
WHO IS IT FOR
The Diploma course is designed for those who want to work as a Chartered Secretary (a high ranking professional) and is intended to benefit both students and their employers as these qualifications will help to contribute towards an effective and efficient working environment.
WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE IT
(a) ICSA Diploma is broadly equivalent to the second year of a three-year university Bachelor's degree.
(b) Qualifications recognised worldwide.
(c) Upon successful completion, the candidate gains the designatory letters Dip.ICSA (Business Practice).
(d) On successful completion a student will be eligible for direct entry onto the ICSA professional Programme.
(e) It is suitable for those who want to progress to Grad ICSA Chartered Secretary's Qualification
(f) Full membership of ICSA
(g) Direct entry to a university to complete the final year of a three-year Bachelor's degree.
STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAMME
A student must complete the following four compulsory modules:

- Marketing
- Business Finance
- Business Strategy and Planning
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
ICSA certificate qualification or any other equivalent qualification acceptable to ICSA.
MODE OF ASSESSMENT
Three-hour closed book examination having a combination of short answers to questions and a case study. A case study scenario will be circulated to students ahead of the examination.
DURATION
1 year (part time), but a full time student may be able to complete the course earlier.

ABOUT OTHM
OTHM (Organisation for Travel and Hospitality Management) offers a programme of professional qualifications that are engineered for Student Members to improve and develop progressively the knowledge and skills that they will need to help them in their careers.
WHO IS IT FOR?
OTHM is an excellent professional qualification for those people who want to develop their career in the world's most progressive and advanced business atmospheres the tourism and hospitality industry.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
It is desirable that Certificate students may have had some experience in the industry.
Diploma and Advanced Diploma students are expected to either have work experience in the industry before joining the course, or be working part-time in the industry.
Candidates should note that if they intend to study for further professional qualifications in the industry a certain amount of industrial experience will probably be required.
OHTM provides opportunities for work placements to all students.

Upon successful completion of both diplomas students can enrol onto a degree or postgraduate programme awarded by relevant recognised universities.
OTHM has a key relationship with London South Bank University allowing holders of the OTHM Higher Diploma to have direct entry to the final year of London South Bank University's Batchelor's degree programme BA (Hons) in Tourism and Hospitality .
Students who have successfully completed the OTHM Higher Diploma and who have two year's management experience in the tourism and hospitality industry are eligible to apply for

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS :
The candidate must have obtained two A levels and 3 GCSEs (five separate subjects, including
English and Mathematics, or equivalent)
Overseas qualifications equivalent to the above may be accepted by the ACCA.
Students over 21 years who do not meet the minimum entrance requirements may register through
the Mature Student Entry Route (MSER).
EXAMINATION
Examinations are held twice a year, in June and December
ASSESSMENT
Knowledge modules are assessed by computer and paper based examinations. The higher
levels of the qualifications are purely paper based.
Skills module examinations and all Professional level examinations are of three hours long
and will make use of a range of assessment methods such as short answer questions,
extended computational exercises, essays, scenarios and case studies.
DURATION
2-4 years (full time) depending on qualifications. Part-time students may require a longer
period of study.
